Merry Go Round House

As part of the City's Mayor’s Office of House and Community Development Small Sites Program the San Francisco Community Land Trust (SFCLT) has a Waitlist Opportunity in the Mission District. The residents self-manage the home, in efforts to keep rents affordable and to embolden grassroots, democratic, Resident engagement in affordable housing. In order to self-manage the house, all Residents are responsible for participating in house committees, including maintenance and vacancy filling, along with opportunities to participate in SFCLT Board membership. Residents collectively share two kitchens and six bathrooms and, consequently, a commitment to live at Merry Go Round involves respect and consideration for sharing common spaces. We look forward to your application and welcoming you to the Merry Go Round House!

Bill Sorro Housing Program (BiSHoP)

Are you a San Francisco resident or worker? Do you want general information about housing opportunities and resources? Attend a housing drop-in clinic at the Bill Sorro Housing Program (BiSHoP), a community based program of the Veterans Equity Center (VEC) designed to provide drop-in counseling for individuals and families who are in need of affordable housing and other services.

Mayor’s Office of Housing BMR Rentals

Browse affordable housing rental opportunities available through MOHCD. This site includes only Below Market Rate rentals, a program that includes units priced to be affordable to lower or middle income households.

There are two types of Below Market Rate units (BMR) available through the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development: Inclusionary Housing Program BMR Units and units formerly managed by the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, Limited Equity Homeownership Program Units.
