 Purple House Cooperative Housing Opportunity

TWO ROOMS AVAILABLE

The Purple House Co-op currently has two vacant rooms for $1,220.00 per month in our 10-room house, with 1 shared kitchen, living area, 2.5 bathrooms, and on-site laundry. We are a 501(c)(3) non-equity housing cooperative that provides permanent, affordable housing for low- to moderate-income residents, managed in partnership with the San Francisco Community Land Trust. 

The Purple House is designated as affordable housing for low- to moderate-income people, and there are income restrictions at move-in. If you are chosen as a finalist, you will be asked to participate in an income certification process.

  • Monthly Rent: $1,220.00
  • Minimum annual income = $29,280; Maximum annual income = $130,900 (120% AMI)  
  • Monthly Payment: $1,220.00
  • Security Deposit: $1,220.00
  • Total necessary move-in costs: $2,440.00

Attend a housing drop-in clinic at the Bill Sorro Housing Program (BiSHoP), a community-based program of the Veterans Equity Center (VEC) designed to provide drop-in counseling for individuals and families who are in need of affordable housing and other services.

Browse affordable housing rental opportunities available through MOHCD. This site includes only Below Market Rate rentals, a program that includes units priced to be affordable to lower or middle-income households.

There are two types of Below Market Rate units (BMR) available through the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development: Inclusionary Housing Program BMR Units and units formerly managed by the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, Limited Equity Homeownership Program Units.
