She holds a degree in Business Administration and Social Entrepreneurship from Mills College University. As the co-founder of Colmenar Cooperative Consulting, Mayerling has been a driving force in supporting worker-owned cooperative development. Her application of popular education principles and solidarity economy practices has been transformative. Her dedication and expertise were recognized when she was awarded a Cooperative Development Fellowship by Prospera Co-ops in 2018. In 2023, she furthered her expertise by completing a Cooperative Development Program with the Center for Family Life.
