In the early weeks of January of 2024, SFCLT acquired its 15th building and first Small Sites property in Noe Valley: 3975-3977 24th Street. This tenant initiated purchase came to fruition due to the fierce advocacy of the long term tenant community that resided there. Upon learning their building was for sale, the tenants realized the risk posed by the speculative market, and immediately reached out to the Land Trust to ask for their building to be purchased under SSP. After weeks of communications with their District Supervisor and reaching out directly to MOHCD seeking support for the project, their dogged determination resulted in SFCLT receiving the green light to make an offer. With plans to build an ADU in 2025, SFCLT is very pleased to increase the affordable housing footprint in a neighborhood that has been historically short on affordability.
