Get your tickets today to celebrate (& grow) SFCLT at our Sept 26th Fundraiser and celebration of 53 Columbus (Columbus United Cooperative): https://
WHEN: Monday, September 26, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
WHERE: The Lab - 2948 16th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103
WHAT: The San Francisco Community Land Trust invites you to join us as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of our FIRST acquisition - 53 Columbus Avenue. In the 10 years since that first purchase, the Land Trust has grown - to 12 buildings, with 102 units housing 175 San Franciscans, and growing! Come take part in celebrating the exciting growth of the Land Trust over the last 10 years - and our roots at 53 Columbus Avenue.
We are honored to feature guest speaker and Land Trust Co-Founder James Tracy, whose leadership was essential to making the long-fought for purchase of 53 Columubs Avenue happen. James has graciously agreed to sign 10 copies of his highly regarded book, "Dispatches Against Displacement - Field Notes From San Francisco's Housing Wars" as part of the fun and exciting night.
Each ticket purchased includes two drinks, catered dinner from La Mediterranee, and the opportunity to walk away with a personally signed edition of Dispatches Against Displacement - we look forward to seeing you on the 26th of September!
Join SFCLT and our community partners at our 72 Belcher Street Property in support of growing the Small Sites Fund.
WHEN: Tuesday September 27th at 10AM
WHERE: 72 Belcher Street (SFCLT Property)
WHAT: With 25 local ballot measures crowding the ballot, only one actually provides a pathway to bring affordable units online. Proposition C, the Housing Preservation Bond, would provide $261 million in low-interest loans to rehabilitate at-risk housing with safety upgrades and fund the acquisition of permanently affordable housing. Supported by 11 members of the Board of Supervisors, the Mayor and a diversity of tenants and housing groups, it is the only November ballot measure that offers a proactive tool for addressing our housing crisis.
Join us from 6-7:00 p.m. at the San Francisco Public Library - Main Branch in the Mary Louise Stong Room. SFCLT will be holding an Introduction to Community Land Trusts and Cooperatives at the Public Library for anyone who is interested in learning more about our organization and the cooperative housing model. Please feel free to bring friends and pass on to anyone you think might be interested.
WHEN: Thursday, September 29th, 2016 from 6pm - 7:00pm
WHERE: San Francisco Public Library Main Branch
100 Larkin St, San Francisco, CA 94102
