The Merry-Go-Round (MGR) Housing Cooperative currently has 2 vacant rooms, one for $1025/month and one for $1075/month rent (all utilities included) in our 14-room house with 2 shared kitchens, living area, and4sharedbathrooms. We are a shared housing 501(c)(3) non-equity cooperative that provides permanent, affordable housing for low-to-moderate income residents, managed in partnership with the San Francisco Community Land Trust.

No smoking indoors.

MGR is designated as affordable housing for low-to-moderate income people and there are income restrictions at the time of move-in. If you are chosen as a candidate, you will be asked to participate in an income certification process.

MGR is located in the Mission near Harrison Street.  All resident members of the Merry Go Round Housing Cooperative must contribute to the house as both a living space and a 501(3)(c) non-profit. This includes, but is not limited to: attending monthly house meetings, participating in at least one house committee, and taking on at least two house chores. This can often amount to 5 hours a week, give or take. All members receive a self-management credit of $100 off the monthly rent in exchange for the resident fulfilling its monthly management tasks.

Pets that are not services animals will only be allowed upon approval from SFCLT. If a pet is approved, tenant will be required to pay a $150 security deposit. Please be comfortable with dogs and noise.  No cats please. No dogs over 25lbs in weight.

Lottery preference is provided to Holders of a Certificate of Preference, Displaced Tenant Housing Preference (DTHP), and applicants who live or work in San Francisco.
